What This Role Involves
- Reviewing new client and matter submissions for compliance with internal policies and SRA regulations
- Conducting conflicts, AML, and sanctions checks as part of matter opening
- Assessing reputational and commercial risk factors
- Escalating complex or high-risk matters to senior risk or legal counsel
- Liaising with partners and fee-earners to resolve queries and ensure smooth onboarding
- Maintaining detailed records of risk assessments and approvals
- Supporting training and continuous improvement in business acceptance procedures
Required Experience & Skills
Strong analytical and organisational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Understanding of conflicts, AML, and SRA principles
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Sound judgement and attention to detail

Typical Salary Range
£60,000 – £105,000+ depending on PQE and firm tier.
