As a Risk Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the legal and ethical integrity of our firm. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and the smooth operation of our legal services. Below are the key responsibilities you will undertake: 

Promote Risk and Compliance

You will continually promote the firm's commitment to risk and compliance in the London office. As a proactive member of the risk function, you will support team members to deliver the highest standards of service to the SRA role holders and legal teams.

Regulatory and Legal Monitoring

You will scan the horizon for any regulatory or legal changes, drafting and maintaining policies that are fit for purpose. Preparing reports and other papers for the Risk Committee to brief members on risk issues and mitigation strategies is also crucial.

SRA Compliance

Preparing the firm's submission for the annual practising certificate bulk renewal, supporting partners in their applications for RFL status, and ensuring records held by the SRA are up to date.

Collaboration

Working closely with the firm's AML function, COLP, COFA, MLRO, and central support managers in the London office. You will also work with the Office of General Counsel in the US offices to ensure a cohesive approach to risk management.

What’s the Ideal Legal Compliance Candidate Profile?
Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience in Risk and Compliance.
Experience Required
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Risk and Compliance role, preferably in an international law firm.
Skills Requested
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence and persuade at all levels.
