As a Conflicts Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the legal and ethical integrity of our firm. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and the smooth operation of our legal services. Below are the key responsibilities you will undertake: 

Conduct Conflict of Interest Checks

You will manage conflict checks on every new matter globally to identify and resolve both legal and commercial conflicts of interest. This involves thorough analysis and consultation with partners to ensure compliance with ethical standards.

Review New Client and Matter Opportunities

You will evaluate new client and matter opportunities by analysing internal and external information sources. Your insights will guide partners in making informed decisions regarding conflicts and information barrier management.

Collaborate with Financial Crime Teams

You will liaise with the financial crime team to assess and mitigate risks associated with new matters. This collaboration is vital for maintaining the firm's compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and other financial crime controls.

Liaise with Global Teams

Ensuring a close working relationship with teams across different regions, particularly in London and Sydney, will be essential. You will facilitate smooth handovers and effective communication to support global operations.

What’s the Ideal Legal Compliance Candidate Profile?
Educational Background
Degree in Law, Business, or a related field.
Experience Required
At least 1-2 years of experience in a compliance role within a law firm or corporate legal department.
Skills Requested
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills. Excellent attention to detail and ethical judgment.
Certifications
