A leading international law firm is looking for a Lateral Conflicts Attorney to join its growing Risk & Compliance function.

Key Responsibilities for the Lateral Conflicts Attorney role:
- Lead and manage conflicts analysis relating to lateral partner and associate hires
- Conduct detailed conflicts checks, including reviewing client relationships, matters, and potential legal and commercial conflicts
- Advise on conflict resolution strategies, including ethical walls and waivers
- Collaborate with partners, General Counsel, and recruitment teams throughout the lateral hiring process
- Draft and review conflict waivers and engagement terms where required
- Ensure compliance with applicable professional responsibility and regulatory obligations
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of conflicts policies and procedures
Key Requirements:
- Qualified attorney (US qualified preferred) or equivalent experience within a law firm risk and compliance function
- 3 to 5 years experience handling lateral conflicts within an international law firm environment
- In-depth knowledge of legal conflicts rules and professional responsibility standards
- Proven ability to manage complex conflicts issues and provide pragmatic, risk-based advice
