A leading international law firm is looking for a Junior Business Acceptance Analyst to join their Compliance team in Dubai.
The Junior Business Acceptance Analyst (Dubai) role offers an excellent entry point into the world of legal risk and compliance, with a focus on client onboarding, conflict checking, and anti-money laundering (AML) due diligence.
Key Responsibilities for the Junior Business Acceptance Analyst (Dubai) role:
- Conduct searches using the firm’s conflicts database.
- Review and analyse conflict results, escalating potential issues where necessary.
- Record and maintain conflict clearance outcomes for compliance and audit purposes.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining ethical walls and information barriers when required.
- Carry out research on clients using public sources and subscription databases.
- Verify beneficial ownership structures and identify potential risk indicators.
- Conduct sanctions screening and adverse media checks.
- Collate and maintain client due diligence records.
- Support ongoing monitoring of existing clients and update records as needed.
- Support the review and processing of new client and matter requests.
- Assist in ensuring all required information is complete and accurate prior to opening.
- Respond to queries from lawyers and support staff regarding the intake process.
Qualifications & Experience
- A degree in law is desirable (but not essential).
- Previous experience in a law firm is advantageous.
- Familiarity with AML regulations, sanctions regimes, or conflicts of interest processes would be beneficial.
- Confident using Microsoft Office; experience with business intake systems (such as Intapp) is an advantage but training will be provided.
