A well-established UK law firm is looking for a Commercial & Technology Associate to join their team in Birmingham.

As Commercial & Technology Associate you will work closely with experienced lawyers, providing advice on a variety of commercial, technology, and intellectual property matters.

Key Responsibilities for the Commercial & Technology Associate role:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including tech contracts, outsourcing arrangements, SaaS and licensing agreements, and supplier/customer contracts.
• Support senior team members on larger matters while also managing smaller transactions independently.
• Advise clients across sectors such as technology, financial services, retail, and professional services on legal and regulatory issues associated with commercial and tech-driven projects.
• Keep up to date with developments in technology, digital regulation, and commercial law to ensure advice remains practical and commercially aligned.
• Contribute to business development initiatives, client training, and internal knowledge-sharing activities.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales
• Experience in commercial and/or technology law, gained either in private practice or in-house.
• Strong drafting and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communicator, able to explain complex issues clearly and succinctly.
• An inclusive and collaborative culture within a respected national firm.
