An international law firm is looking for a Senior Conflicts & AML Advisor to join their London Risk & Compliance Team.
The ideal candidate for the Senior Conflicts & AML Advisor role will have extensive experience in conflicts of interest who is looking for an opportunity to broaden their skillset by taking on greater responsibility in AML compliance.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Conflicts & AML Advisor role:

Serve as a trusted advisor on conflicts and AML matters, providing expert counsel to the Risk & Compliance department and firm-wide stakeholders.

Mentor and supervise junior team members, offering training and support in their professional development.

Manage complex conflicts and AML queries, guiding the team on risk mitigation strategies and ensuring the firm’s conflicts and AML policies are implemented effectively.

Identify and lead on improvements to the firm’s AML and conflicts policies, processes, and systems.

Oversee customer due diligence for new and existing clients, ensuring adherence to AML regulations and the firm’s internal policies.

Handle escalations involving complex conflicts, AML issues, or regulatory risks, ensuring appropriate resolution in line with SRA guidelines and the firm’s procedures.

Lead on training initiatives within the team, addressing any identified knowledge gaps and ensuring best practices are followed.

Work with colleagues across various departments to enhance the efficiency of risk and compliance services offered by the firm.
Qualifications:

Extensive experience in Conflicts of interest within a law firm setting.

Conflicts management expertise, including experience in handling complex conflicts of interest and ethical risk issues.

Experience in using Intapp, including expert level conflict clearing capability, is essential.
