A prominent US law firm is looking for a Conflicts Supervisor to join their Risk & Compliance team in their London office.
The Conflicts Supervisor role will oversee a team of Conflicts Analysts and manages the firm’s conflicts review process. This role requires a strong background in Conflicts, leadership, training, and analytical skills to ensure efficient conflict resolution and compliance with the firm’s policies.
Key Responsibilities for the Conflicts Supervisor role:
- Supervise and provide guidance to UK-based Conflicts Analysts, assigning and reviewing conflicts requests.
- Handle complex conflicts research, including parent-affiliate relationships, ethical wall memoranda, and subpoena requests.
- Conduct training on conflict-checking procedures, investigation, and resolution of conflicts-of-interest.
- Provide feedback and coaching to Conflicts Analysts, tracking progress and supporting professional development.
- Assist in developing and updating training materials, including system procedures and guidelines.
- Recommend improvements to conflict analysis guidelines, research methodologies, and database functionality.
- Serve as the primary local contact for conflicts-related inquiries, including lateral hires and new business intake.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Extensive experience in conflicts or legal research.
- Supervisory experience in a conflicts-related environment.
- Proficiency in conflicts software (Intapp preferred) and research tools (Dun & Bradstreet, Corporate Affiliations, Capital IQ).
