A leading international law firm is looking for a Conflicts Lawyer to join their London team. The role of Conflicts Lawyer offers a senior leadership opportunity where you will be tasked with guiding the firm on complex conflict issues, providing key advice to practice groups, and developing conflict management strategies globally.

Key Responsibilities for the Conflicts Lawyer role:

• Collaborate with the Head of Risk Management to shape and execute the firm’s global approach to managing conflicts.

• Analyse and critically assess the firm’s current conflicts process and approach to conflicts with particular reference to US conflicts provision.

• Provide expert guidance on complex conflict issues, escalating matters as needed to the Conflicts & New Business Committee.

• Shape the development of the conflicts and client intake process, identifying opportunities for team growth and improvement.

• Regularly report to senior stakeholders, including quarterly updates to the Management Board on conflict issues.

• Work collaboratively with international teams to ensure consistent risk culture and conflict management practices across regions.

• Lead training initiatives across the firm to promote best practices in conflict management.

• Be the go to for conflicts escalations from both the BAU and Risk teams

Qualifications:

• Qualified lawyer with substantial experience at an international law firm.

• Significant expertise in managing conflicts of interest, especially with respect to US regulations.

• Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams and developing staff.

• Excellent communication and training skills to influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders.
