An international law firm is looking for Conflicts & Compliance Analyst to join their team in either their London or Manchester offices.
The role of the Conflicts & Compliance Analyst involves managing conflicts of interest and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities for the Conflicts & Compliance Analyst role:
- Conduct detailed conflict checks on new and existing matters, ensuring compliance with professional rules and firm policies.
- Analyse conflicts search results and escalate potential issues to senior team members.
- Liaise with partners and other stakeholders to resolve conflict-related queries.
- Perform client due diligence (CDD) checks for new clients and matters, in line with AML regulations.
- Monitor high-risk clients and escalate any issues or discrepancies.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with sanctions regulations and screening processes.
- Support the development of firm-wide AML policies and procedures. Maintaining technical knowledge, expertise and know how on the nature of the work each department undertakes in the Firm, conflicts, AML and sanctions.
- Screening all clients and matters for sanctions and escalating any adverse findings to the Risk Team and Sanctions Partners.
- Assist in the training of staff on compliance and regulatory matters.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a compliance, conflicts, or AML role, preferably within a law firm environment.
- Strong knowledge of AML regulations, sanctions, and conflicts of interest rules.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience using Elite Enterprise or similar management systems (Desirable)
