A leading international law firm is looking for a Senior Data Protection Lawyer to join their Risk & Compliance function with the role being based in the UK.

This Senior Data Protection Lawyer position suited to a qualified lawyer with significant data protection experience, together with strong risk and compliance expertise within a law firm.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Data Protection Lawyer role:

• Leading and developing the Firm’s Data Protection sub-team
• Acting as the senior subject-matter expert on UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and global privacy regimes
• Advising partners and senior stakeholders on complex, high-risk data protection matters
• Supporting international offices on cross-border privacy and data risk issues
• Overseeing data protection governance, policies, training, and regulatory engagement

Qualifications & Skills:

• Qualification as a lawyer (England & Wales or equivalent)
• Expertise in data protection and privacy law
• Experience operating in an international environment
• Strong stakeholder management skills and commercial judgment
