Conflicts Advisor

A prestigious international law firm is looking for a Conflicts Advisor to join their Office of the General Counsel (OGC) team in either their Leeds or Manchester office. 

The Conflicts advisor position primarily focuses on conflicts of interest and confidentiality matters, with opportunities to contribute to wider risk and compliance projects within the firm.


Key Responsibilities for the Conflicts Advisor role:

  • Conduct legal analysis of potential conflicts and confidentiality issues using conflict check results.

  • Support the Conflicts Committee and Conflicts Partner by gathering business information and drafting clear, practical recommendations.

  • Liaise with partners and fee earners to clarify details and advise on engagement terms that appropriately manage risk.

  • Collaborate with the Onboarding Conflicts team to establish and monitor confidentiality protocols.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and internal processes.

  • Support wider OGC projects, including compliance initiatives and risk mitigation strategies.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong legal or compliance background preferably within a law firm environment.

  • Clear and confident communicator, capable of explaining technical decisions.

  • Commercial awareness and a practical approach to problem solving.

  • Team player with a proactive mindset and the ability to work independently on projects.
