An international law firm is looking for a Conflicts Advisor to join their London Team. The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong background in conflicts and client intake processes, ideally within an international law.
Key Responsibilities for the Conflicts Advisor Role:
- Conducting comprehensive conflicts checks for new matters, clients, and lateral hires, ensuring the firm complies with applicable regulations and professional conduct standards.
- Collaborating with the Head of Risk and the wider team to enhance the firm’s global conflicts processes and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Assisting with the resolution of complex conflict issues, escalating where appropriate, and providing expert advice to partners and senior stakeholders.
- Supporting the design and delivery of conflicts training programs across the firm to promote best practices.
- Keeping up-to-date with relevant regulatory changes, professional standards, and client requirements, ensuring the firm’s processes remain robust and compliant.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the firm’s conflicts and risk management framework, identifying gaps and opportunities.
Qualifications:

Extensive experience in conflicts and client intake processes, ideally within an international law firm.

Knowledge of global conflicts frameworks, including US & UK conflicts rules.

Excellent ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders, driving action and challenging inaction.

Ability to build connections and work collaboratively across boundaries at all levels.
