An international law firm is looking for a Risk Lawyer (Professional Indemnity) to join their team in either their London or Manchester office.  This role would be ideal for a Solicitor with litigation experience, particularly in lawyers’ professional negligence who is looking to transition into an in house role.

Key Responsibilities Risk Lawyer (Professional Indemnity):

• Manage PI claims, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations, and support the Head of PI in overseeing claims exposure and management.

• Coordinate with fee-earning teams and PI insurers to handle live claims and risk issues.

• Identify claims trends and collaborate with client operations for process improvement.

• Participate in the firm’s global PI and cyber insurance placement and manage regulatory investigations and other contentious issues.

• Work with the Finance team to address claims’ financial impacts.

• Develop and deliver training to reinforce best practices and mitigate repeated errors across the firm.

Qualifications:

• Qualified lawyer, preferably with experience in an international law firm and a focus on professional negligence.

• Litigation experience, particularly in lawyers’ professional negligence.

• Strong communication, project management, and decision-making skills.

• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.
