An international law firm is looking for a Risk Lawyer to join their London offices. In this role you will work closely with the firms Head of Risk, in a broad and varied position with significant scope for long term career development. 

Key Responsibilities for the Risk Lawyer role:

• Assist in identifying and managing the firm’s regulatory and compliance risks.  
• Provide expert legal advice on professional risk matters, including conflicts of interest and engagement terms
• Respond to general risk queries on the interpretation and application of the SRA Code of Conduct.  
• Conduct thorough contract reviews, advising on legal and regulatory obligations.  
• Collaborate with the Head of Risk/Senior Risk Manager to develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.  
• Ensure the firm’s practices comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.  
• Review and monitor potential risk exposures related to client engagements, including terms of business and conflict of interest checks.  
• Assist in managing internal risk assessments and audits.
• Deliver firm-wide training on compliance and risk issues. 

Qualifications:

• Qualified lawyer with experience working within a law firm
• Experience in contract review and regulatory compliance.  
• Familiarity with risk management frameworks and policies.
